Working past 65? Plan the handoff
Aliso Viejo has a lot of employers and a lot of people who keep working past 65. If you have group coverage through your job, you may be able to delay parts of Medicare without a penalty, but the rules depend on the size of your employer and the type of plan.
I help you decide what to keep, what to sign up for, and when, so there is no gap when you retire and no surprise penalty later.

Medicare questions from Aliso Viejo residents
I'm still working at 65. Do I need to sign up for Medicare?
It depends. If your employer has 20 or more employees, you can often wait on Part B without a penalty while you're on that plan. With fewer than 20, you likely need to sign up right away. Tell me about your situation and I'll help you sort it out.
What about my HSA?
Once you're on Medicare, you can't put more money into an HSA. Part A can reach back up to six months, so a lot of people need to stop contributing earlier than they expect. It's worth planning for that before you apply.
What happens when I retire?
When your job or the coverage that comes with it ends, you usually get a Special Enrollment Period to sign up for Part B without a penalty. I'll help you time it so there's no gap in coverage.
What does it cost to work with you?
Nothing. The insurance company pays me a commission, not you, so your premium is the same whether you enroll through me or directly with Medicare. There's no fee for a consultation, a plan review, or the yearly check-in.
